Kerbside Collections

How to Recycle

Tidy Trev is your weekly kerbside collection service, collecting recycling from all households around the County Borough.

Tidy Trev have provided residences with new blue boxes, in addition to the existing green and purple kerbside box and bag. Allowing you the flexibility to recycle more and separate your items.

Recycling is becoming increasingly more important in the world in which we live today. Our service aims to help you to help the environment in a simple and easy way.

Do not mix your recycled items in the boxes. Please use one box with lid or bag for your papers and textiles as they need to be kept dry, and other boxes/bags for your tins, plastic and glass.

Please keep materials of the same type together by either placing in separate boxes or using carrier bags. If you chose not to use carrier bags an additional box can be provided by connecting to Blaenau Gwent on 01495 311556.

When recycling plastics please squash the item and remove the tops.
We ask that all containers are rinsed out.

Please make sure that all confidential material or any items contain personal information is shredded. This will help prevent identity theft.

Remember that 60% of your bin can be recycled, just think are there more things that you can recycle with Tidy Trev? Every item you recycle helps towards reducing waste sent to landfill.

Times of Collection

We ask that your box be put out at 7am on the day of your collection.

Tidy Trev crews normally operate between the hours of 8am - 4pm, so your recycling will be picked up at any time throughout the day.

Collection rounds can vary and therefore collection times may differ due to circumstances beyond our control.

However if Tidy Trev misses you out simply connect to Blaenau Gwent on 01495 311556 to speak to an advisor.

Location of Collection

Please place your kerbside box(es)/bags at the kerbside for collection in a clearly visible and safe place outside your home on your collection day.
